Baker
Electronics Facility
This facility for a high tech aircraft
and marine electrical components manufacturer allowed the consolidation and
merger of administrative, engineering, and manufacturing components. The size of the project allowed the use of a
tilt wall system that was economical and fast.
The incorporation of insulation into the construction of the structural
wall panels sped up construction and allowed painted concrete to become the
durable wall finish inside and out. The
introduction of “light boxes” at intervals provides the relief of light and
views, and contributes to the continued usability of the building by providing
access points for future floor plan reconfigurations.
